The Western Colorado University Foundation

The Western Colorado University (WCU) Foundation was founded in 1975 to advance the mission and goals of Western Colorado University. The WCU Foundation is an independent 501(c)3 non-profit organization overseen by a Board of Directors.  The Foundation Board of Directors work collaboratively with the Development Team to inspire investment, manage and direct gifts, ensure donor intent and provide stewardship. The WCU Foundation annually provides the university with critical funding support to provide scholarships, faculty and programmatic support, and capital needs.

In 2019, the Elevate Western Campaign was launched to increase scholarship support, enhance faculty and programmatic opportunities, and provide funding for strategic capital needs on campus.  Through the generous support of our alumni and community, the campaign is on target to meet the seven-year, $80 million goal.
