The Western Colorado University (WCU) Foundation was founded in1975 to advance the mission and goals of Western Colorado University. The WCU Foundation is an independent 501(c)3 non-profit organization overseen by a Board of Directors. The Foundation Board of Directors work collaboratively with the Advancement Team to inspire investment, manage and direct gifts, ensure donor intent and provide stewardship. The WCU Foundation provides the university with critical funding support to provide scholarships, faculty and programmatic support, and capital needs.
After seven incredible years, the Elevate Western Campaign will formally conclude on June 30, 2026,having raised more $105 million toward an $80 million goal. This historic campaign has significantly expanded scholarship support, enhanced faculty and program opportunities, and provided funded key capital improvements across campus. One of the most visible achievements is the Rady Family Sports Complex, including the MoJo Field Mountaineer Bowl and the Katy O. Rady Soccer Field.
